SEVERAL OF THE VIDEOS ARE 16+ to 18+ CONTENT! PLEASE BE WARNED.
This summer, which I have dubbed as “The Summer of Me,” I went to my first official concert. It was to see my favorite internet group, The Try Guys. These four fabulous men have tickled my funny bone in my darkest times, given me strength to face my struggles, are friends when I feel alone. I truly feel like I know them and they give so much to the world through their goofy, heartfelt, real videos.
So, I was thrilled that I got to drive 5 hours to my first concert with my friend and now co-teacher this year in my classroom, Mallory. It was a bonding trip for us and incredible for us. She went to a new state and had I-Hop for the first time.
Well, we both got the VIP packages with lots of rad swag and the best part was to get a photo with them. Granted, it was only like ten seconds to see them, but they were upbeat and ready. Keith noticed my Pikachu hat first (I wore it to stand out since they meet so many people) and Zach was stunned to see I had a Pikachu button on my hat, calling it Pika-spection. HA! So, we took a nice photo together (Keith, my favorite although I love all of them to pieces) wrapped his arm lightly around my shoulders and Ned, the sweet family man, placed his around Mal (she almost melted because he is her favorite). Then after I complimented Keith on his blue giraffe shirt (it’s sort of his thing), he said we should all give a thundershock to the camera. Boy, what fun we had! 😀 I wrote them each a poem and made a origami tulip attached in their colors. I hope they liked them. >.<
And guys, the concert was a spectacle the whole 90 minutes! Fried chicken passing, fanfiction acting, dad dance-offs, quiz shows, Eugene doing a beautiful and insane dance, the rocking opening and ending number, and so much more. I was either hooting so hard my mouth ached, hollering until my voice was raw, or cheering and tearing up from their life advice and how much they were giving to us. Plus, all of us singing High School Musical’s “We are All in this Together” was special. ^-^ I was moving, singing, or on the edge of my seat the whole time and for my first real concert, I couldn’t have been happier. And my company was perfect.
But, it was SURELY 18+ like many of their videos.
This was in late June, but with my birthday being early November. To remember this grand experience and celebrate my 31st birthday, what better way than doing my list of Top Twenty Try Guy Videos. They are always adding new content, so I am sure this list will change often.
And please be warned that most of their content is at least 16+ due to language and topics.
Now friends, let’s admire Eugene, drink tea with Zach, gush over Ned’s wife and baby, and tell Keith how beautiful he is. It’s Try Time!
