Roses burst in the silver wind. The ice guards the magic of song. Shadows become bold to protect the world. The fire burns yellow, matching the heat and passion of the moon. Magic is real. The Earth is grimm from ancient mistakes resurfacing. Loved ones are lost, hope harder to find, strength fleeting despite your resolve. This is the grand scale of Rooster Teeth’s Hit Show, “RWBY,” and each season, although ore beautifully animated, sucks you deeper into complex lore and bleaker existence. Still, it’s the lore and characters that bring you back.

With season 9 now here, after a MASSIVE, HEART-WRENCHING CLIFF HANGER that had me gasping for days, I wanted to celebrate its return with one of my favorite elements of the franchise: the weapons. Nearly every weapon is a hybrid, a unique and powerful force that reflects every hunter/huntress in their own way. It boggles my mind how this team crafts these BA weapons that are also responsible for countless breathtaking combat scenes!
