The chili dog-loving blue blur has been running around at the speed of sound in my life since I got my first video game console, the trustworthy Sega Genius! He was so entertaining; cheeky, funny, mighty, friendly, and just brought a smile to your face, be it in the games, comics, or T.V. shows (and thank the chaos emeralds that we now have a good live-action movie series to go with it like he and his buds deserve!)
One of the most fantastic and memorable things about Sonic and his universe is the music, especially during the Dreamcast/Game Cube mid-generation Sonic era! CRUSH 40 is one of my top bands of all time because of their involvement in these games. The songs get me pumped, inspired, and make you feel your are the hero and can face anything. They were a big inspiration for my “Spirit Vision” series (the soundtracks and the characters.)
With it being the season of where fun and childhood rule the night, I thought Sonic would be a perfect Top Ten. Let us do this; gotta go fast!
You can see the soundtracks playlists HERE: “Sonic Adventure 2” and “Sonic Heroes,” my two favorite games (and I adore the classic Segas too.) At the end of each song title, I typed which game it was from.
