Ah! Tis the season of coldness, my money flying out the window, time crunches, and too much fattening foods! I truly love this time of year! 
Christmas just seems to hold this sort of magic, a sense of compassion and hope, giving and nurturing. I am thankful I have my mother’s deep love for this holiday. There are too many things to chose from, but for this year’s holiday top ten (my sixth one too; geez!), the 12 reasons I adore Christmas so much. They are not in any particular order.

- Singing Christmas songs,
- Watching Christmas movies and specials,
- Decorating trees and rooms,
- All my special childhood traditions we all cherish (I love hanging my stocking and preparing for Santa)
- My church’s Christmas Eve service
- Seeing “The Nutcracker,”
- Seeing my family and friends
- Christmas parties (including all the holiday outfits) and fun days
- Holiday food (eggnog, hot cocoa, the desserts, mashed potatoes! SO GOOD)
- The mood of the world
